In addition to the comprehensive safety features of modern Volvo vehicles, good road illumination is essential for ensuring that you reach your destination safely and relaxed. This is especially true in darkness or when visibility is limited due to weather conditions, such as heavy rain or fog. Genuine Volvo H1 halogen bulbs have a filament with a power rating of 55W. This ensures that the road is always optimally illuminated in every driving situation. Unlike conventional bulbs, genuine Volvo halogen bulbs are filled with a noble gas, which causes the tungsten from the filament that evaporates over time to be deposited back onto the filament itself rather than on the glass bulb. This significantly extends the service life and keeps the luminosity constant. However, for this process to take place, the filling pressure inside the glass bulb must be higher than in conventional bulbs. In addition, the outside temperature of the bulb must be 300 °C. To ensure that the bulbs meet these high requirements, the glass bulbs of the Volvo H1 bulbs are made of robust quartz glass, which can easily withstand the higher temperatures and increased filling pressure.
